ANZAC Day is commemorated around Australia by a solemn ceremony that remembers the contribution and sacrifice of soldiers who fought in the trenches at Gallipoli during World War One. It also shows gratitude for all men and women who have played a part in all wars.
The day will be marked with a dawn service at 6am on the grounds of the Shrine of Remembrance with the ANZAC Day march commencing at 9am along Swanston Street and the memorial service immediately after.
